Handmade mosaic subject WAVE TRAY

Mosaicist Pietro Coraggio, after a decade of training in Ravenna, decided to start the company Pico Mosaici in 2009 in a small town in Molise, Venafro (IS).

The company designs, produces and installs artistic mosaics for interiors and exteriors. It decorates all types of surfaces: floors, walls, tables, kitchen and fireplace coverings, furniture, fountains, bathrooms, swimming pools, monuments. It carries out work for commercial activities and public buildings, decorative, figurative and sacred subjects, taken from masterpieces of ancient, modern and contemporary art, and proposes furnishing accessories. Each project is unique, designed with its specific location in mind, according to the client's needs and budget. Pico Mosaici makes use of ancient Roman-Byzantine techniques, for traditional mosaics, and more modern techniques for contemporary mosaics, guaranteeing refined and long-lasting products.

Mosaic is a technique with millennial origins and has found its most accomplished expressions by enriching artistic artefacts of various kinds. It is a precious art, the result of a patient and refined play of combinations of different materials. In recent decades, artists, master mosaicists, architects and designers have been able to reinterpret the potential of mosaic art, renewing its language while respecting its ever-present expressive power. A journey therefore between the past and the future that allows us to recognise the lines of development of mosaic and to appreciate its continuous change in constantly evolving cultural contexts. Contemporary experimentation has in fact been able to rediscover that special dialogue with the material, which has always characterised mosaic, thanks to a constant evolution and re-evaluation of craftsmanship.
