ART TOY PROJECT: the singularity of multiples

The Art Toy project was born to respond to the desire to collect a work of contemporary art in a simple and accessible way. The prototype of the Art Toy, created by Marco Calcinaro, is the ceramic base on which a group of talents from the Italian contemporary art scene have worked, each creating a unique piece, reproduced as an artist's multiple.

The Art Toy is a serial object signed by the artist, an exclusive and original work, accessible to all purchasing powers, capable of translating contemporary creativity into a valuable and durable form. Each artist transfers his or her own creative potential to the medium by adding colour and features that are each time different, each according to his or her own personal code of expression.

The medium thus overcomes its status as a sketch to assume that of a stimulus for an original, exclusive and versatile artistic production. Art Toy?, a work with a captivating and unmistakable profile, characterised by extreme versatility and perfect harmony with all that is trendy: an artistic product based on elements chosen with care and creative flair and with simple and essential constituent forms.

The validity of a mass-produced work as an expression of an original artistic idea is now recognised, as is the concrete possibility of collecting author's editions, available on the Italian and international market.

Art Toy's research is focused on artists who, through their works, are able to best interpret contemporary life, following their own artistic aptitude, responding to the expressive typology characteristic of their style. Even a simple amateur can approach the fascination of owning a collection to grow over time, as an expression of cultural interest and passion for contemporary art.
